Find Your Nearest StoreCracked screen, dead battery, or a VIVO that won’t charge? Case Indulgence’s Taigum store repairs VIVO X, V and Y-series phones — most fixed same day, with a free diagnostic before you pay a cent.
VIVO phone repair is the diagnosis and fixing of hardware faults on VIVO smartphones — screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras and water damage — using genuine or OEM-grade parts, usually completed within a few hours. Case Indulgence repairs VIVO phones at our Taigum store in Brisbane’s north, as well as at 13 other stores across Queensland and New South Wales.
VIVO’s flagship X-series phones are built around one standout feature: a gimbal-stabilised camera system that physically moves to counteract shake. Almost no repair page explains that this same mechanism is also one of the most drop-sensitive components in the phone — more so than the screen, in some cases. That’s the gap this page fills.
Spiderweb cracks, missing glass, or a display gone dark after a drop — common on curved-edge X and V-series models.
Usually a damaged AMOLED display driver or a loose display flex cable, not the glass itself.
On gimbal-camera X-series models, this is a strong sign the stabilisation mechanism has been knocked out of alignment by a drop.
A phone that was fine last year and now can’t survive a full day has a degraded battery, especially on FlashCharge-equipped models.
Often lint or corrosion in the USB-C port rather than a dead battery — this is the #1 “try this first” fix below.
Some warmth during FlashCharge is normal, but excessive heat or heat during idle use can indicate a battery or charging IC fault.
VIVO’s water resistance rating (where fitted) degrades after drops, age, or prior repairs — assume damage if submerged over a minute.
Can be a software/re-registration issue, a screen protector interfering with the sensor, or in rarer cases, sensor damage after a drop.
VIVO’s gimbal stabilisation system, found on flagship X-series phones like the X90 Pro and X100 Pro, works by physically tilting the entire main camera module on a suspended mechanism to counteract hand shake — similar in principle to a mini camera drone gimbal. This is genuinely excellent for low-light and video stability, but it also means the camera module isn’t rigidly fixed in place the way a standard phone camera is.
Because the gimbal camera hangs on a suspension mechanism rather than being bolted rigidly to the frame, a drop that’s absorbed harmlessly by a normal phone’s shock-resistant case can still jolt the gimbal’s internal magnets and springs out of calibration. You’ll often see this as a blurry, “swimming,” or misaligned image in photos and video — while the screen itself is completely undamaged. Most people assume a working screen means the phone survived the drop fine, then are confused when the camera never quite works right again. If your VIVO’s camera looks “off” after any drop, even a small one, it’s worth a free diagnostic regardless of how the rest of the phone looks.
VIVO batteries follow the same roughly 500-cycle degradation curve as other lithium-ion phone batteries, and FlashCharge-equipped models can show the same “sudden cliff” wear pattern common to fast-charging phones — a gradual decline isn’t always what you’ll notice first.
Not every problem needs a paid repair. Here’s what to check yourself first — it costs nothing and takes five minutes:
If none of these fix it, the issue is almost certainly hardware — and that’s where we come in.
Message us on WhatsApp or email with your VIVO model and what’s wrong. Photos or a short video of the issue help us quote accurately before you even walk in.
Bring your phone to our Taigum store (or nearest location). We run a full diagnostic at no charge and confirm the real cause — not just the symptom.
You get a fixed price before any work starts. No “it turned out to be more” surprises at pickup.
Most screen, battery, and port repairs are completed same day. Every repair is tested before handover — calls, charging, camera stabilisation, fingerprint sensor.
We’d rather tell you not to spend money than sell you a repair you’ll regret. Here’s the honest breakdown:
| Situation | Worth repairing? |
|---|---|
| X-series or V-series (last 2–3 years), screen or battery issue | Yes — repair cost is well under replacement value |
| X-series gimbal camera issue after a drop, phone otherwise fine | Yes — the camera module is a specific, contained fix, not a full teardown |
| Older Y-series budget model, screen cracked | Maybe not — repair cost can approach 40–60% of a new entry-level phone |
| Any VIVO with severe water damage + no power | Depends — ask for a free diagnostic before deciding, don’t assume it’s dead |
| Battery only, phone otherwise in good condition | Yes — almost always the cheapest way to add 1–2 years of life |
If your VIVO is a budget Y-series model and the screen repair quote is close to half the price of a refurbished newer phone, ask us directly — we’ll tell you honestly if it’s a false economy. This is the kind of call most repair counters won’t make for you.

VIVO screen repairs at Case Indulgence Taigum typically range from $99 for Y-series models to $429 for X-series flagship devices. The exact price depends on your model and screen technology.
On X-series models with gimbal camera stabilisation, the camera module hangs on a suspended mechanism rather than being rigidly fixed, so even a minor drop can knock its internal alignment out even when the screen and body show no damage. This is a specific, repairable fault, not a sign of wider phone damage.
Yes, opening a VIVO device yourself or using an uncertified repairer typically voids VIVO’s manufacturer warranty. If your phone is under 12 months old and still covered, it’s worth checking with VIVO directly before booking a third-party repair.
Most VIVO screen and battery replacements are completed the same day, often within 1–3 hours, at our Taigum store. Gimbal camera repairs on X-series models can take slightly longer due to the precision alignment required.
We use genuine OEM-grade parts sourced through certified suppliers for all VIVO repairs. We’ll tell you upfront which parts are used for your specific repair.
It depends on the repair cost versus the phone’s current value, not just its age. A battery replacement is almost always worth it. A full screen replacement on an older Y-series model is worth checking with us first, since the honest answer is sometimes no.
